Ancient Truths for Modern Times

Good Morning!

5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. 6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks. 7 For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. 8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s. 9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.

Paul continues with this third point about why we should accept each other; because Christ is our Lord! Sadly in God's churches today we make traditions and whether or not we follow them a test of fellowship. From clothing, to music, to decorum, and beyond God's people will argue over things that are simply NOT doctrinal or are merely a matter of not minding ones own business. Friends, we need to be focused on our OWN LIVES and service to God! It is not our business what another brother or sister in Christ does unless it is something that is scripturally wrong because God is the one who is in control and in charge of our lives and we cannot place ourselves in that position in the lives of our other brothers and sisters. In short keep your eyes on God and keep your own life where it needs to be for Him!

With Love and Hope,

Pastor Zack
